The owner of Twitter, the infamous Elon Musk just announced that he will get rid of the Twitter bird logo for an X instead.
Elon claims that this decision was supposed to be made a long time ago. He reportedly is attempting to recreate the Chinese Super App “Wechat”. Twitter will now be called “X”.
On Sunday, he announced the decision to change the Twitter logo by tweeting from his account : “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
Super apps like PayTm and GoJek are very popular in Asia, people use them on a daily to make payments. Elon Musk is merely trying to start his own similar app here in the West.
Earlier this month, Twitter has been under scrutiny for imposing a daily limit on accounts which provided the perfect window for Threads to launch. The Meta Based application accumulated over 100 Million Sign-ups in its first five days.
